The Anchorage Advantage

Uniform security, regardless of device, user, or location—that’s the Anchorage advantage.

Monkton Anchorage is a patented Zero Trust technology that provides immutable proof that a device is what it claims to be at a hardware level. Anchorage enables non-repudiation of IoT, mobile, and Edge Computing devices—ensuring that the device you are communicating with is the device you deployed while providing trusted data from trusted devices.

Anchorage Benefits

Anchorage offers several security advantages that are otherwise difficult or impossible to achieve:

  1. Uniform security, regardless of device, user, or location

  2. Strongest possible attestation from a device that a user logged into an app/IoT device is who they claim to be

  3. Enables granular access controls, continuous monitoring, and real-time threat detection and response

  4. Immutable Hardware-Based Zero Trust framework that detects and helps prevent breaches and vulnerabilities before they happen

Zero Trust means “never trust, always verify.” Start from “No”—devices should never be trusted by default, even if they have been previously verified. Zero Trust Architectures establish strong identity verification, validating device compliance prior to granting access, and ensures minimal privilege access only to explicitly authorized resources.

How Anchorage Works

Anchorage’s patented immutable hardware-based Zero Trust component works on any device that has a dedicated security component processor (“DSC”, also known as TPM/SEP/TEE) to securely identify users, Edge Computing, and IoT/IIoT devices.

Through cryptography, Anchorage authenticates and authorizes devices to talk to one another by:

1.

Proving that data coming from any device emanates from that specific device and hasn’t been manipulated

2.

Leveraging Zero Trust-like encryption and event-based architectures in order to enable data encryption for the Edge

3.

Enabling trusted communication pathways

4.

Uniquely identify everything from IoT devices, mobile devices, and Edge Computing devices

Zero Trust is the New Security Standard

Monkton’s patented technology, Anchorage, uses hardware-based cryptography to secure sensitive data transmitted between devices in an IoT environment. It ensures the authenticity of device data, making it essential for securing sensitive IoT data transmission, verifying that devices are exactly what they claim to be.
